Sarah is the Deputy Head of Priory School, a co-educational independent school for children aged 6 months to 18 years in Edgbaston, Birmingham. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Education where she is researching the gender imbalance in UK secondary school leadership. Despite the workforce being 63% female, just 38% of secondary school head teachers are women. Through hard work and determination Sarah has enjoyed career success, becoming a Head of Department at the age of 26 and securing her first senior leadership role in her early thirties; these successes are not common for women in education. As a skilled practitioner who is committed to driving social change, Sarah has enjoyed leading CPD sessions for aspiring, training and experienced teachers at schools, colleges and universities nationwide and has coached and mentored educational professionals all across the UK.
