Ndu Uchea has built Word on the Curb into the go-to platform for youth stories and opinion, working with Channel 4, The Guardian and BBC. Their own platform has amassed over 50 million global views, inspired petitions to change laws across different sectors and encouraged individuals to open up about difficult stories, shining a light on subjects that need to be discussed. Word on the Curb also places disruptive and conscious brands at the heart of youth culture through insight & video content creation. They have helped Channel 4 on a number of topics, most recently, their reporting of the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy. This year, Word on the Curb have created ‘Curb Collective’, an initiative which offers young people training opportunities across a number of sectors, with an aim of getting more BAME and economically disadvantaged young people into creative jobs.
