Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure has diversity and inclusion embedded as a core part of the business strategy for the next five years. In 2019, each employee has at least one inclusion-related personal objective. They also look to leave a positive legacy with the communities in which they work by ensuring that the same culture change and inclusion approaches. The most significant example is their not for profit social enterprise ‘All Together Cumbria’, which delivered over 15,000 hours of work experience and 80 of 124 unemployed candidates have gained employment. Additional general successes include; Launch of faith appropriate PPE and maternity wear for females; 30 Fairness, Inclusion and Respect Ambassadors; 70% of employees have flexible working; 400 trained mental health first aiders; Increase in female employees (21.5% vs 14% across construction generally) and BAME (15% vs 3.4% industry).
