POSITIVE ROLE MODEL AWARD FOR DISABILITY –
Jenni Pettican, aka “Chronically Jenni”, is a 23-year-old drama graduate, vlogger and aspiring radio presenter and voiceover. In 2016 Jenni was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder; Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a form of Dysautonomia and; a cerebrospinal fluid leak. Facing multiple surgeries and a set of unique challenges, Jenni began to document her journey, sharing weekly videos of daily life with her conditions in the hope of assisting others and making them feel less alone. Jenni strives to raise awareness for this little-known condition and invisible disabilities, helping so many come to terms of battling chronic illness. Every year since her diagnosis, this amazing individual has made videos for EDS and HSD Awareness month including fellow sufferers from across the world and has raised money for EDS charities across her university campus.
