Darren completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Sheffield on Electronic, Automatic Control and Systems Engineering in 2008. During his degree he received the Nicholson Prize, a prestigious award from the Engineering Department for obtaining the highest results in the department. Now, Dr Darren Williams MEng EngD CEng FIET MWeldI is 33 years old and a prominent figure recognised globally within the engineering community. His prominence has developed over the years from numerous volunteering activities, positively impacting thousands of young engineers around the world as a STEM ambassador. Darren has mentored hundreds of GCSE school children across South Yorkshire and has delivered numerous talks, workshops, and networking events. In addition, Darren was previously Chairman for the South Yorkshire Young Professionals committee, delivering professional talks and manufacturing facility visits.
