COMMUNITY ORGANISATION AWARD FOR MULTI-STRAND –
Changing Lives is an early intervention and prevention project aimed at raising children’s awareness about the dangers of gangs and to prevent children getting involved in criminal activity. Their objective is to create social, sporting and work experiences that will install confidence and motivation for children, providing them with opportunities and pathways towards a positive future. Founded by David Simmons and Ben Doyle, this CIC has achieved a great deal in a short period, forming strong collaborations with the NHS, Local Council, Police, Schools and support services. With the rise of anti-social behaviour in Harlow, this outstanding project is working tirelessly to tackle these issues. They have already helped over 1000 children across Harlow, through different initiatives such as Risk and Reward Workshops to teamwork and leadership skills.
