Hi, I’m Lucy, I’m 19 years old and I use my social media to share what life is like living with Tourette’s, autism, and PANDAS. I started making content to raise awareness, but also to show that being disabled doesn’t mean your life has to stop. I try to show the real, everyday side of things — the challenges, but also the fun, the normal stuff, and everything in between. I think it’s really important that disabled people are seen as people first — not just for what they’re struggling with, but for who they are. Through my videos, I hope to break down stereotypes, make people feel less alone, and help others understand that different doesn’t mean less.
A big part of what I share online is my honest, unfiltered GRWM (get ready with me) videos — whether I’m doing my makeup or just chatting about my day. I want to show that being disabled doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy beauty, everyday things other people enjoy, or just living your life the way you want to. When my health first started declining, I was really, really struggling, and the main thing that helped me was seeing other people talk about it and how they cope. It meant I could learn from their strategies and try things that worked for them. Not to mention, I’ve made some amazing friends through social media, and I know I’ve been able to help people too. I also love sharing the things that help me — whether it’s routines, little tips, or just talking things through — because I know how much of a difference it can make.
I want to be part of changing the way people see disability. There are so many assumptions out there, and I try to challenge them just by showing up as myself. I always try to educate without sugarcoating, and be real about what life is actually like — not just for awareness, but to help people feel seen and understood.
Thank you so much for voting for me, I really appreciate it!
