The Sibling Group

We are a registered charity called The Sibling Group. We run sibling groups for children ages 6-11 who have a brother or sister with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. These children experience stress, isolation and loneliness and care for their brother or sister. Our charity was founded by a sibling who has a brother with autism and complex needs. Growing up there was no support for siblings so we hope to give the siblings the support they need. We run groups in North Yorkshire and London. We offer the siblings a chance to meet others with similar experiences and mutual support from group activities. We also take them on trips as they are often unable to do this due to their complex family life. We focus on supporting our siblings’ well-being and happiness! We have achieved a lot in such a short amount of time and we cannot wait to see how we can continue to support our amazing families!
