Neurodiversity in Business

Nominee Profile
Location: London
Since its launch at the UK Houses of Parliament in March 2022, Neurodiversity in Business (NiB) has made significant contributions towards campaigning for greater corporate awareness of issues affecting neurodivergent workers. NiB is the only charity that celebrates and supports the full spectrum of the neurodivergent community.
The NiB ecosystem is created by and for neurodivergent individuals in collaboration with other charities that support people with autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, Tourette's Syndrome, or acquired neurodiversity.
NiB’s approach to promoting neurodiversity through strategic partnerships and research not only champions the rights and potential of neurodivergent individuals but also encourages the implementation of tangible, positive changes in employment practices; it also catalyses a broader cultural shift towards inclusivity and diversity in the workplace, creating a more inclusive world for everyone.
One of NiB’s landmark achievements is its ongoing collaboration with Birkbeck, University of London, to produce a "Neurodiversity at Work” annual report. The results of the 2023 report, "Neurodiversity at Work - Demand, Supply and a Gap Analysis" represent a significant step forward in understanding the barriers and opportunities present in the employment landscape for neurodivergent individuals. By identifying effective neuroinclusive support strategies and providing data on current practices, the report serves as a critical resource for organizations looking to integrate neurodiversity into their diversity, equality, inclusivity, and accessibility strategies.
