Born – Uganda, Kampala
Came to Uk 8 months old, with my mum and dad being the first child.
Spent 20 growing up years in Birmingham.

I am married to my wife Dina, we will celebrate our 30th Indian wedding anniversary in Sept 2024.
I have 2 sons Aaron (26) and Dillon (22). I am very close with my family, I still have my mum, I also have 3 younger brothers who are all married with children.
Worked as a mechanical engineer for 16 years before joining WY Police in 2005.
I was stationed in Bradford, on the same team as PC Sharon Beshenivski who was killed in the line of duty. I began the push on introducing Hindu Community to the force in 2015, starting by recruitment campaigns, becoming an ambassador for the force as the link to the Hindu community. With assistance from colleagues in 2022 I then set up the Hindu PA.
I was one of the founding members of the Bradford Hindu Council, a body that has over 20 different Hindu communities under it’s umbrella. Together with linking in with my normal day role, i was at the forefront of many events, introducing Hindu festivals to the force and other organisations, helped organise the largest charity donations ever collected by our Hindu community. I was a leading organiser during Covid with over 3000+ meals to numerous organisations. For the community l’ve led on Blood Donation sessions, Alzheimer’s Memory Walk, wellbeing projects such as VAWG self defence.
I’m also is a member of the National Police Chiefs Council, in the Race and Religion portfolio, helping produce the Faith Tool Kit.
I’ve become a member of the Leeds City Council Strategic Faith Leaders Board, so not only a voice for the community in Bradford but now a voice in Leeds.
