Ije McDougall is the Founder of The Kairos Initiative, a Magistrate and a HR/Employment Law Expert.
Her talk on Black Lives Matter was featured on the Black Lives Matter Website and is in demand with several organisations around the world.
With her unique storytelling technique, Ije has spoken to corporate audiences such as: NHS, HMPPS, BMW, EPAM, Several public and private sector organisations around the world.
She was named Cheshire Woman of the Year 2023 and also named amongst the 100 most outstanding Nigerians in the diaspora.
She has been featured on several international podcasts, magazines and Newspapers for the charity work she does and for her choice to speak out. She was named Guardian Woman in July 2023; And amongst the 6 Inspirational Women of Cheshire in March 2024 as published by Cheshire Magazine.
Ije has provided apprenticeships, paid for health care, clothed Street kids, provided drinking water for over 10 thousand people in Nigeria.
She has done this by getting the British public to adopt compassion for those who are less privileged. She's has motivated hundreds of individuals to see the world differently and to always start from a place of kindness. Through the Kairos and, Ije has created a kindness revolution.
Her training as BBC Radio Producer has served her well as public speaker. She joined the fight to achieve better employment terms for parents with premature and sick babies.
She has the unique perspective of someone who moved from a troubled part of Nigeria to the UK and set up a charity to help some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
While charting her way through life in the UK as an immigrant, she has faced questions of identity and self realisation. She has battled self doubt and imposter syndrome continuously and understands how limiting they can be.
She is an Advocate and an Activist who uses her public speaking platforms to raise awareness and to challenge injustice.
Having beat the odds herself, Ije is well versed in the challenges that face people of minority in the UK. As a result, she speaks on some of the issues faced by minority groups in the UK. As a British Nigerian who originates from the North East of Nigeria, Ije has first hand knowledge of the activities and consequences of extremists and extremism. Her charity, The Kairos Initiative, was set up to support victims of insurgency in Nigeria. Ije is an author. Her first book, born out of life experiences as a Nigerian mother in the UK is called “Surviving 0 to 5 years old #Mumofgirls” is available on Amazon.
