I have worked in the LGBTQ+ sector for 25 years and am currently the CEO of youth charity SAYiT. I also co-chair Sheffield's LGBTQ+ Multi-Agency Network and write the LGBTQ+ column for Exposed Magazine.
I was very proud to be one of the cofounders of the first ever Pride in Sheffield back in 2007 and believe passionately in championing equality.
Times are tough for LGBTQ+ people at the moment - particularly trans and nonbinary members of our communities who are being targetted in the government and media culture wars and I will continue to raise my voice and do whatever I can to support and fight for our communities, particularly the most vulnerable and marginalised members.
