We are a multi award winning Deaf-led organisation committed to advocating for Deaf rights, providing community support for deaf individuals and changing lives, promoting awareness, and facilitating opportunities for the Deaf community. With a wealth of experience in providing tailored solutions for inclusivity, we have successfully collaborated with various industries to create accessible environments for Deaf individuals.
The Deaf Village harbours inclusivity at its core. Through establishing, developing, and managing various services, we promote inclusivity across the Northwest and the UK.
Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant and united community where everyone is actively engaged, treated equitably, and thriving. We strive for mutual understanding and respect for people's diverse faiths and cultures. Our initiatives aim to combat segregation, diminish social exclusion, and continuously celebrate and embrace our diversity, enriching our collective experiences through community engagement.
The Deaf Village offers specialised services tailored to the needs of the Deaf community, including:
• Our Deaf Hub, providing both in-reach and out-reach support services to the Deaf community.
• The White House, a five bed residential home and the first of its kind in the UK, catering to young Deaf adults with complex care needs not typically accommodated by conventional care services.
• Deaf Village Enterprises, spearheaded by Deaf individuals, serving both the Deaf and hearing community.
• The Bamboo Retreat and Butterfly House – exclusive, unique event spaces tailored for the wellbeing of our community.
