Be Kind Movement (BKM) develops emotional intelligence (EQ) in children and young people (5 - 16 years) through short films and the education of Kindness. Our vision is to build future generations of emotionally intelligent children who can lead and influence their workplaces, family lives, and communities with compassion, equality, inclusion, respect and diversity. This is rooted in our Kindness Framework built on 10 kindness values that aims to:
ENTERTAIN children through the powerful medium of film
EDUCATE children on the transformative power of kindness
EMPOWER children with emotional intelligence (EQ) skills for life
Our flagship Kindness in School Programme™ (KISP™), underpinned by 10 kindness values, is an early intervention and preventative tool that builds core EQ life skills such as social awareness, relationship skills, self-awareness, self-management and responsible decision-making. These skills equip children, not just with a positive and aspirational mindset but also with a strong sense of emotional awareness, mental resilience and physical wellbeing that will help them to rise to the challenges of the 21st century.
Our kindness programme commits to a holistic approach to education that involves building a whole new generation of emotionally intelligent and resilient children who, in turn, grow up to build a more positive, kinder, inclusive, diverse and peaceful world where families, communities, society and nations can thrive.
