Aurelia was a pioneering figure, known for her innovative approach and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. With over 25 years of experience, she made a significant impact by designing and implementing innovative music strategies for a variety of renowned brands. Her career was not only marked by collaborations with leading artists such as David Guetta, Jax Jones, Maya Jama, Ed Sheeran, The Libertines, and Placebo, among others but also through supporting grassroots talent.
In 2022, Aurelia co-founded Maison Mercury Jones alongside ilā Kamalagharan (Creative Director). The agency is unique in its mission to promote fair representation across all gender identities, ethnicities, ages, and dis/abilities within the music and marketing sectors. Maison Mercury Jones distinguishes itself by working exclusively with artists and composers from underrepresented backgrounds, fostering more meaningful partnerships. The agency quickly garnered high-profile clients such as Gaviscon, Lemsip, Absolut and Bosch.
Tragically, a few months after launching Maison Mercury Jones, Aurelia was diagnosed with inflammatory bilateral breast cancer and lymphoma. Despite undergoing numerous rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, and intense radiotherapy, Aurelia continued her work with unwavering dedication. Her perseverance in the face of such adversity exemplified her commitment to her mission and her remarkable resilience. Sadly, Aurelia passed away in April 2024, but her legacy lives on through the continued efforts of Maison Mercury Jones and the countless artists and brands she supported throughout her career. Her life and work remain a testament to the power of determination and the impact of championing inclusivity.
