Popular television quiz presenter in the UK, London-born Anne Hegerty moved to Manchester in the 1980’s and became a well-known magazine writer and, later, magazine editor. In subsequent years, she also worked as an Editor for a major UK publishing house but retired from that role when invited to be one of the stars on the then new TV quiz show series, ‘The Chase’. Described as one of the world’s cleverest women, Anne is renowned for her wit as much as her intellect. In January 2018 she successfully settled into the role as presenter of the new ITV quiz show, ‘Britain’s Brightest Family’. Last year, the brainy governess was praised for speaking candidly about living with Aspergers Syndrome whilst starring on ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’, sparking a national conversation when she opened up about autism in front of an audience of twelve million people.
