POSITIVE ROLE MODEL AWARD FOR AGE –
During the last 5 years, 17-year-old Aidan Jackson has raised over £31,000 for charity and other vital causes. Diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD, Aidan started fundraising after a close friend Olivia Walker sadly passed away in 2014. The Olivia Alice Foundation was created in her memory and Aidan set himself many challenges to raise funds including sponsored walks, swimming the distance of the English Channel, and filling out his local rugby stadium with teddy bears (10,900 of them!) before sending the teddy bears off to help children around the world. Aidan is currently raising funds for community defibrillators and since August 2018 has managed to purchase 6 Community Defibrillators, with number 7 fast approaching. These are being installed within Aidan’s local community to provide 24-hour access in emergency situations. The code is given following a call to 999 allowing the defibrillator to be accessed.
