COMMUNITY ORGANISATION AWARD FOR DISABILITY –
Improving the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people and families living with neurodevelopmental conditions, specific learning difficulties and associated mental health needs is the core aim of ADDvanced Solutions Community Network. Their open-access offer includes community-based, solution-focused learning, coaching and mentoring programmes as well as health, wellbeing and enrichment activities. As a Community Interest Company established out of need in October 2012, working in collaboration with families living with neurodevelopmental conditions, they co-produced the organisation’s social model of learning and solution-focused support which engages, educates, equips and empowers families to better recognise, understand and support their needs. Ultimately, their aim is to build sustainable learning communities, encouraging families to find the answers to the challenges they face living with neurodevelopmental conditions.
