The WCHG Youth Team comprises dedicated youth workers committed to providing comprehensive support and services to young people in Wythenshawe. Their mission is to facilitate the full potential of children and young adults, fostering social, emotional, and personal growth in a safe and welcoming environment. Their goal is to establish Wythenshawe as a community where children and young people actively choose to participate, offering high-quality youth and play opportunities regardless of background. The team caters to children and young people aged 5 to 25, including those with disabilities, across all five wards of Wythenshawe. Their weekly programmes include: Ability Group sessions tailored for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), Monthly Youth Forum promoting youth voice and social action, open-access youth sessions at various Wythenshawe locations, personal development programs in local schools; street-based youth work and more.
