Transmanian Devils RFC, founded in March 2023, is the UK's first transgender and gender non-conforming (GNC) rugby team for players aged 18+. The IGR affiliated club has over 60 members from across the UK including Glasgow, Brighton, London, Reading, and Manchester, and accepts players of all abilities and experiences. The Devils aim to increase trans inclusion in rugby, offering a safe space for athletes to be themselves, and working with other teams to support this. Key achievements include hosting two annual bootcamps in Manchester, participating in their first rugby tournament in Edinburgh, winning their first games at the Hadrian Cup in Newcastle, and playing our first 15s rugby match in Brighton. Their dedication to fostering friendships, confidence, and social responsibility highlights their commitment to advocating for trans rights and inclusivity in sports and society.
