Raj is a dedicated advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI. Committed to fostering community cohesion and psychological safety. Residing in Leicester, known for its multicultural vibrancy, Raj embodies multiple identities as a female, disabled, Asian British, and LGBTQIA+ single parent. Her journey has been marked by personal challenges, fuelling her commitment to service. Raj's extensive career spans roles where she has led initiatives in community engagement; mental health, survivor and carer advocacy; and improving systems, processes and access to services. Recipient of numerous awards, including the Queens Platinum Award for Services to the Community, Raj continues to drive change as President of Lions International Warwickshire Coaching Lions and through leadership roles in various community and advisory groups. She remains dedicated to dismantling barriers. Empowering marginalised groups and individuals; and promoting social justice through collaborative, inclusive approaches; training and coaching.
