Leeds First Friday is the UK's largest Trans+ social event, held monthly in Leeds' Freedom Quarter. Each month, 300 attendees from across the UK and beyond gather to socially transition, gain confidence, and discover themselves in a safe, public environment. Regular travellers come from cities like Brighton, London, and Glasgow. LFF prides itself on safety through partnerships with local support groups, venue owners, and West Yorkshire Police, creating a comprehensive support system. A key focus is welcoming newcomers, alleviating anxieties by offering pre-event support and on-the-day introductions. Run by 18 dedicated volunteers, LFF hosts events and supports the trans community, aiming to raise awareness and inclusivity. The initiative significantly impacts attendees' lives, fostering a supportive network and celebrating the diversity of the trans+ community.
