Positive Role Model Award: Gender
Jenni has been a trailblazer in Scottish policing and is known for advancing gender equality and driving inclusion. As Chair of the Scottish Women’s Development Forum, Police Scotland’s largest Diversity Staff Association, she transformed the approach to equality and inclusion. Jenni's impactful Women in Policing photography project showcased women's resilience and leadership, challenging stereotypes, and fostering inclusivity. She introduced 'Inclusion Moments' to UK policing, revolutionising conversations about Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Her podcast series, 'Educate, Enable, and Empower,' amplifies women's voices globally in policing. Jenni's advocacy against sexism within Police Scotland, highlighted in her influential Sexism video, has spurred systemic change driving a lasting impact in policing. Now, working in higher education she continues her mission to champion equality and inspire transformative change. Her dedication remains unwavering, proving that compassion, innovation, and a bit of 'boat-rocking' can create real change.
