Community Organisation Award: Multi-Strand
Future Leaders UK is an award-winning organisation empowering underrepresented young people to reach their full potential and become advocates for equality and diversity. Through its year-long development programme, Future Leaders develops marginalised young people’s confidence, skills, and access to education and employment. By the end of the programme, young people have the skills to advocate for inclusion and challenge hate and intolerance, becoming active upstanders. They become community leaders who lead positive change through youth-led social action projects, where Future Leaders supports them to tackle key issues in their local community. Future Leaders UK began five years ago, empowering just 50 young people in East London. It now delivers its programme to over 5,000 diverse young people across multiple cities across the UK.
