2024 Shortlisted Nominee
Positive Role Model Award: Disability
Clarke Reynolds is a registered blind visual artist who has transformed his sight loss into a powerful medium of expression through Braille art. Losing vision in his right eye at the age of six and later facing complete blindness in his 30s, Clarke refused to let these challenges dim his passion for art. Instead, he embraced Braille, using it to create works that spark conversations about disability and inclusion in the visual arts. Clarke's story has resonated widely, leading to invitations from schools across the UK to inspire children about overcoming obstacles through creativity. A passionate advocate for the visually impaired community, Clarke is a patron of VICTA and a trustee of Aspex Portsmouth, the gallery that once inspired him to pursue his dreams. He is dedicated to paving the way for a visually impaired renaissance, empowering future generations to achieve greatness in all areas of life.
