Community Organisation Award: Race, Religion & Faith
BE.Xcellence is dedicated to showcasing a reflective representation of individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities in Wales. Through multimedia platforms, they uplift and authentically portray the contributions of these communities. Their initiatives, such as the B.O.M.B radio show and the I AM Wales podcast, amplify minority voices and highlight Welsh identity's inclusivity. Xcellence magazine, distributed across educational institutions and law enforcement agencies, fosters awareness and understanding. Central to their mission is inspiring future generations to embrace civic duties and promoting active participation in society. The Super Citizens programme for key stage two pupils and the Level Up life skills programme for 16+ aim to enhance social mobility. BE.Xcellence believes equity lies in self-actualisation and creating opportunities, envisioning a more equitable Wales for their target communities.
