2024 Shortlisted Nominee
Positive Role Model Award: Age

Ava is an award-winning artist & designer, who is challenging perceptions of being Deafblind disabled. This is evidential in her work with Deafblind U.K., Asda, Bealies Adaptivewear, and most recently with Poundland & Whizzkidz. Ava is a key advocate for the Deafblind community, and has been recognised for her activism by the Shaw Trust as Disability power 100 rising star winner. Her art work is exampled on the U.K. schools curriculum, and she is the 1st U.K. Deafblind artist to produce a range of NFT art pieces for charity. She supports her peer community by partnering with Anglia Ruskin University, as well as working with the Disabled community on new collaborative initiatives & projects. Ava is currently preparing her first Deaf inclusion children’s book for publication. Ava is a remarkable reminder of not judging a person by their disabilities, but Instead by their ambition, ability & achievements.
