Community Organisation Award: Race, Religion & Faith
Anime and Chill is a safe and inclusive community for people interested in anime and/or gaming to come together, cosplay, watch movies, play games, and network regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or race. Having a grip on the community as strong and specific as anime, has allowed anime and chill to work alongside major names over the years including sponsors Sony, Manga UK, Funimation, Bandai Namco, Electronic Arts, and CrunchyRoll. Since 2020, they have delivered over 30 events in the UK with over 6000 members globally, hosting everything from live, in-person gaming events to virtual anime, movie and gaming debates with members. This unique organisation is dispelling negative stereotypes around what it means to be a “geek” and empowering their community, whether that’s to cosplay, express their inner personality, or provide a safe family vibe where everyone belongs.
