Amy is a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman and parent carer of her 11-year-old daughter, who has a severe learning disability, nonspeaking autism, a rare genetic condition, and epilepsy. Amy is a positive role model and advocate for the learning disability and autism community. Through her Instagram platform, @neurodivergent_girls, she educates and supports others in the neurodivergent community, creating a safe and accepting space online and locally in Bristol and North Somerset. With extensive experience as a Mental Health and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, Amy supports children and adults with complex needs. She volunteers as a school governor and assists parent carers, striving for positive change. Amy also shares her experiences with PMDD, aiming to improve women's health care for neurodivergent individuals. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to others are widely recognised.
