Community Organisation Award: Multi-Strand
The ACE Programme was established to address the 75% decline of the Black British community in cricket. The team recognises the broader impact of sport. Cricket not only builds community and supports youth development but also inspires future generations. They have connected with young people outside the traditional system, witnessing cricket's transformative effect on their lives, with many now pursuing professional dreams. They have also challenged misconceptions about their communities' interest in cricket, focusing on creating genuine pathways, providing resources, and building trust. The aim is to nurture not just future players but also coaches, sports journalists, broadcasters, administrators, and CEOs from these communities. ACE believes cricket can truly represent a diverse society and support youth from all backgrounds. They are committed to developing the programme from grassroots to elite levels, believing in cricket's potential for inclusivity and empowerment.
