Community Organisation Award: Race, Religion & Faith
Open House creates safe and inclusive church communities for LGBTQIA+ individuals. They are a shining light of hope in a world where their community still face discrimination, prejudice, and hate crimes. Open House recognise the challenges many LGBTQIA+ individuals face, especially when reconciling their faith with their sexuality and gender identity and are on a mission to create a transformational experience for those seeking to reconcile their faith and identity. They create a welcoming environment where LGBTQIA+ individuals can ask questions, share their experiences and connect with others without fear of judgment. Through their work, Open House is helping to create a stronger and more visible LGBTQIA+ community. They are an organisation that is leading the way towards a more equal and accepting future for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
