Team King’s is characterised by the diversity of their people, and the communities they serve. In their 2021 Trust strategy ‘Strong Roots, Global Reach’, they demonstrated their commitment to EDI by making it one of four headline ambitions in their BOLD vision. With excellent patient care at the forefront, King’s knows that having an inclusive culture inspires others to be the best they can be. All 27 Care Groups in the Trust have an EDI partner, working collaboratively with the senior management teams to understand some of the issues impacting their teams. They hold listening events and build a psychological safe space for honest feedback. These listening events often result in fruitful conversations, which are used to build action plans for the next steps towards improvement. The Trust also support and co-facilitate five Staff Networks and annually publish an Inclusion Calendar as a resource for all staff.
