Approximately 176 million individuals have Endometriosis. Founder of Endometriosis South Coast (a non-profit organisation providing support) Jodie Hughes is one of them. Diagnosed at 29 years old, Jodie has overcome adversity and has used her own personal experiences including a total hysterectomy at the very early age of 32 to support others suffering with the condition. Jodie went through University, completing her Health and Nutrition BSc, a Health Sciences MSc with a first-class pass and is currently undertaking a Health Sciences PhD on HRQoL in people with Endometriosis. Recently launching the proposal for the Hormone Health Hub in Portsmouth, Jodie has implemented a vision of a ‘one stop shop’ for women’s healthcare covering issues such as Endometriosis, PCOS, Menopause, Sexual Health, Period Issues and Pregnancy/Miscarriage support. Jodie’s ethics and morals to financially prosper the endo community are highly honourable.
