HSBC UK serves over 14.85 million customers across the UK, supported by 23,500 colleagues. Including people with a variety of experiences, attributes and voices allows them to increase empathy and understanding of customer needs, innovate in product and service design, and attract and retain the widest range of talented individuals. They have helped over 3500 homeless people open bank accounts via their No Fixed Address and Vicious Circle Campaign and donated £350,000 to support more than 270 aspiring young Black entrepreneurs in London and the West Midlands. HSBC have 17 ERGs with 19,000+ members who aid their employees to bring their whole self to work. In particular, Pride ERG delivered award winning allyship training to over 7000 people, proving instrumental in the change to allow 18-21 year-olds to apply for gender-affirming surgeries paid for, including a gender dysphoria benefit.
