Positive Role Model Award: Disability
With an audience of 15 million, Evie Meg aka ‘This Trippy Hippie’ utilises her global platform to raise awareness of and educate people on the reality of living with Tourette’s Syndrome and autoimmune disease, PANDAS. Through years of many wrong diagnosis’, Evie finally received the correct diagnosis of PANDAS in July 2022. PANDAS means her brain is inflamed, causing hundreds of symptoms including seizures, catatonia, OCD, and more. In 2020 Evie was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, but despite her many health issues Evie decided to embrace the life that she thought was ruined. Author of ‘My Nonidentical Twin: What I’d Like You To Know about Living with Tourette’s’, which has garnered hundreds of 5 star reviews. Evie has achieved a host of incredible achievements including travelling to Luxembourg to speak in front of the EU commission about disabilities in the workplace.
